The Shiverin’ Sheiks were in need of a brand and sleeve design for the release of their first single. The single was to be the first release from Brewdog Records, a new venture by craft brewers Brewdog. For the logo, I produced a custom drawn logotype based on an existing art deco style font. This was then rendered on the sleeve as part of an aged two colour print which combined stylistic elements from early 20th century art deco designs and thematic elements from middle eastern exoticism of the same period. The aim was to evoke an early-to-mid 20th century time period to echo the band’s musical influences, whilst giving a nod to the middle eastern reference in their name.
